About
So, who is Anonymous Soldier? Well, due to Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, I’m unable to divulge my identity.
I am a Soldier in the US Army, stationed somewhere in the South. I’m in my early 30s, and I’ve served honorably and with distinction for six years, holding two MOSes.
Additionally, I am a conservative Republican, so don’t be expecting this Soldier to drink the so-called gay community’s kool-aid. I oppose “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and fully support the repeal of that law by one which institutes a policy of non-discrimination (probably one of the few areas on which I agree with Democrats).
This site
I intend to talk about what military life is like for this gay Soldier, what being a Soldier means to me, and hopefully to put a human face on the the issue of homosexuals in the military. I will show that homosexuals are no less qualified to serve than heterosexuals and that we deserve to serve without worrying about losing our jobs.
As stated in the footer, this is not an official website of the US Army, nor is it sanctioned by the Army. All opinions I post are mine and mine alone — they do not reflect the position of the US Army, as the US Army’s position is that homosexuality is incompatible with military service.
