An Army of 1 in 10

There has been an explosion of discussion in the AKO Forums (make sure you’re logged in before following the link) in the “Bi?” thread.  A Future Soldier made this comment which set off a firestorm:

i personally wouldnt want any faggots in the military PERIOD.

This of course resulted in many responses in a short period of time, and the Future Soldier made this response:

hey i was just giving my honest opinon, sorry if i used the word faggot but thats how it is. i met a few homos in my time, for example at the gym, gays come up and to trying to hit on me. what makes you think these same gays won’t join the army and try to make a move on me in the showers. im not a violent person but i think i might hurt someone.

Which, of course, drew more responses from others.  Here are all of this Future Soldier’s postings in this thread:

really i don’t know why this is even a topic on this website, it seems to me someone just wanted to stir people up, like me. then get attacked by a gang of queers and people who say their cool with gays to make themselves sound like super open minded new age hippys. but i know quite a few soldiers and all of them have my same views. also it seems to me that gays join the army just to say, yaaayyyyy im gay and in the army,

i think i’ve learned my lesson, never pick a fight with a homo because theres always 50 more right behind him. and as for being a future soldier, we all gotta start somewhere. a wise man once told me opinons are like assholes we all got em, and not to mention im a asshole. let me give one more asshole, i mean opionion, due to the DADT rule i really don’t think this should be topic on here, but now there is a whole thread dedicated to homosexual praising and i’ve read quite a few threads that admitted they’re gay. because even though i am a future  (wannabe) soldier, i am just giving my opinion about my future job. don’t worry i won’t be coming back to this thread, [Ed. note:  he does] so you guys can go back to you homosexual gossip.

i just have to say one more thing, I came from MEPS a few weeks ago and signed a paper saying i do not pratice homosexual behavior or live the life style. so evidently the times havent changed that much. which means active gays in the military are liars and UNPROFESSIONAL SOLDIERS.

I never said anything about your sexual oreintation affecting your job ability. I said you all signed a paper and if you don’t abide by that document it makes you a liar and or an UNPROFESSIONAL SOLDIER. So basically, there should be no gays complaining about anything that has to do with sexual oreintation. They signed the contract, (the did’nt have to) hopefully they were smart enough to read it. Thats the rules, until it changes please stop your whining.
